These are three photos of Jim Gentry on the prototype 175 Sl. The photos were taken at the 1971 Trask Mountain 2 day event. Jim had some troubles with the bike these 2 days. The 175 Sl's were put into production finally in 1977. There were only 600 of the 175's made.

This was a prototype trails/trials bike made in England in the early 70's. Our Hodaka "Bullfrog" came from this idea when Leon Wilbanks designed and built it with Curt Alexander in the early 70's in the PABATCO R&D dept.

Photo and article are of a Yamaguchi 50cc Scrambler built by Joe Bolger.
Yamaguchi was the predecessor to Hodaka and Joe was involved with Northeast Hodaka (the New England Hodaka distributor). What a class guy he truly is!

Patti & I met Jay a few years ago his wife is a fan of our Sausage Co, Jay was at Foxwood Casino this past weekend was willing to meet with us to have his photo taken on our new "unrestored" Combat Wombat , following in the celebrity footsteps of John Wayne, Peter Graves{Mission Impossible}and Mike Connors{Mannix} on Hodaka Motorcycles. Jay is just as nice of a guy as you see on TV and helps keeps Vintage Motorcycles in a good light. Thanks Jay! !

Jimmy just happen to stop by to find his friend Harry helping us out with the Wolverine. Harry built Jimmy's first race bike when Jim was 11 years old. Jim's dad Don Pomeroy was one of the first factory Hodaka riders. Small world!
