Sold in 24 hours!
"Hello, Paul:
Yesterday, I placed an ad for the sale of my 1969 Hodaka Ace 100.{on Strictly Hodaka site}Within just a few hours I received a phone message and a corresponding e-mail message of interest in purchasing the bike. The person came by this afternoon bought it. Evidentally your site is a mighty good site to visit and the Hodaka crowd uses it a lot! "
Thanks, Joe |
| Paul, Patti and Amy,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for your hospitality during Hodaka Days. It was a pleasure meeting all of you and I felt honored to have my two Hodakas in the museum tent and to be part of show. You and your family, as well as all the others involved, did an amazing job organizing and pulling of this event. The display and turn out of Hodakas had to impress all who came by including the AMA. Also many thanks to Patti, Amy and all the rest for the awesome job on the Hodaka/Pabatco book. It is great summary of the history of the one of the best motorcycles ever. I learned of Jim Pomeroys death today and would also like to pass along my condolences, I know how close you were to him and all that he has done for the Hodaka legend. He will be missed by all, an amazing man and a heck of a nice guy. Thank you again and please let me know if I can ever do anything for you. I am just about ready for another Hodaka project. Paul,
My name is Bryan Sprenkel from Selinsgrove, PA and I am the proud owner of a 1977 250 SL. It needs some turn signals and a new battery to make it street legal, but otherwise runs good. Motorcycle was pickled by original owner, and I came across it by chance after a conversation with an old high-school friend. It turns out that my friend’s uncle may have purchased it new from My Grandfather.
So, I Pulled motor out, pulled head and jug, cleaned piston and rings, flushed crank, put back together and then ruined the kicker-arm before I was able start. Pop-started bike, and rode home from my shop just last weekend. FUN…you aren’t kidding. My Grandfather had a Hodaka/Arctic Cat Dealership from the late 60’s to the late 70’s. My father and my uncles used to race and wrench on Cat’s in the winter and Hodaka’s in the summer. So as you can imagine, my little brother and I have always grown up with stories. We got our first taste in the summer of 1986, in the form of a battered 125 Combat/Wombat. Then came an Ace 100 Road Toad, and I now have a 250 SL. I am 33 years old and I feel like a little kid. I found your website and I am about to join the Hodaka Club. I would like to write something that truly conveys my thoughts:
“Thank You Paul, for keeping the Hodaka dream alive.”
Sincerely,
Bryan Sprenkel
